The club has confirmed that defenders Danny Coogan and Joe Foulkes have today put pen-to-paper on their first professional contracts.
Coogan, 19, and Foulkes, who celebrates his 18th birthday today, are both yet to make a first team appearance for the Saddlers, but the latter has put in a number of eye-catching performances for the Under 18s.
Coogan, who was initially released at the end of the 2019/20 campaign, has signed a short-term contract with the club, whilst Foulkes has signed a one-year deal.

The
pair have both expressed their delight at signing their first
pro-contracts with the club, and are now looking forward to beginning
pre-season training and kicking on under Head Coach Matt Taylor.
Speaking via the club's official website, Danny said; "I’m really excited, I’m really happy, and I can’t wait to kick on now. I’m really excited to work with the Head Coach.

"I’m
a powerful player, I’m quick, and I’m good on the ball. I have plenty
of desire and I will always put 110% into every game and into everything
I do.
"I think my desire is the best part of my game."
Foulkes, who has been a stand-out performer for Miguel Llera's under-18s team, was also proud to have earned his first professional deal, and is keen to make the most of his opportunity.
Joe said; "This is a big accomplishment for me. I have been working so hard over the last ten years or so at the club to maximise my chances of signing a pro contract, and I am over the moon.

"I
have got a great relationship with a lot of the lads who are at the
training ground, and I am really good mates with them, and they have all
made me feel really welcome as a young player, so to spend a better
amount of time with them up there would be great."
Congratulations to Danny and Joe.
