Walsall defender Dan Scarr, who is due to come to the end of his current deal at the end of June, is being linked with a move away from Banks's Stadium.
The former Stourbridge and Birmingham City defender is out of contract at the end of the month and is understood to be close to agreeing terms with League One side, Plymouth Argyle.
Scarr, who made thirty-nine first-team appearances last season, has been offered fresh terms by the Saddlers, but is said to be considering other options with the Pilgrims close to securing his signature.
With 96 club appearances under his belt Scarr is one of the longest serving players at the club, an indication of the revolving door nature in WS1 over recent seasons, and his departure will open a massive hole in the already depleted backline.
Recently appointed manager Matthew Taylor has already spoken of his desire to add to his squad ahead of the season opening games and looks to have another position to fill as Dan edges closer to a move.
