Walsall captain James Clarke has taken to social media to wish the club and its fans all the best as he prepares to move on later in the summer.
31-year-old Clarke made sixty-five first-team appearances since he rejected fresh terms with Bristol Rovers in favour of a switch to the Saddlers in the summer of 2019.
However, following the end of the 2020/21 campaign which saw the Reds secure a worst-ever league finish, the defender will be looking for a new club, with much of the media suggesting a return to the Pirates is in the offing.
Speaking via his official Twitter account, James said; "Onto [sic] the next chapter, thanks for the memories Walsall FC, wish the club all the best in the future."
