The Saddlers have already secured a place in the fourth tier for at least another season and arrived at Saturday's match with nothing but pride to play for.
Opponents Morecambe still had a promotion to play for, with the Shrimps needing maximum points to keep their dreams of reaching the third tier without taking part in the Play-offs alive.
The Saddlers dominated much of the first half but sadly went into the break a goal behind as Cole Stockton grabbed his fourteenth goal of the campaign to put his side into the lead.
The visitors went on to double their lead in the second forty-five as Yann Songo'o headed home after Jack Rose had parried Sam Lavelle's effort into his path.
