Walsall Football Club have today confirmed that, following the conclusion of the 2020/21 League Two campaign, Head Coach Brian Dutton has left the club with immediate effect.
Dutton, who joined the club alongside former manager Darrell Clarke in May 2019, successfully guided the team to safety with a two-nil victory over Scunthorpe United in April but was unable to secure his place at the helm for another campaign.
The club recently appointed Jamie Fullarton as Technical Director, with the former Crystal Palace man be tasked with overhauling the club's backroom set up and begin the long road to rebuilding the team.
In a statement, released via the club's official website, they confirm; Walsall Football Club has today parted company with Head Coach Brian Dutton.
Brian joined the club in the summer of 2019 as Assistant Coach to Darrell Clarke before he took over as Head Coach in February until the end of the 2020/21 season.
The club would like to place on record its thanks to Brian for his hard work and dedication during his two seasons at the Banks’s Stadium and we wish him well for the future.
The club will now begin the process of recruiting a new Head Coach.
