Brian Dutton and the Saddlers arrived at the match on the back of an extended winless run as their lack of goals had seen the team win just one game of 2021 before of kick-off at Banks's Stadium.
Despite a nervy start, it was the Saddlers who would grab the opening goal og the game as Rory Holden got on the end of Emmanuel Osadebe's through ball to smash home, grabbing his fourth goal of the campaign.
The Saddlers went on to double their lead around half way through the second forty-five as captain James Clarke tapped home following Osadebe's knock down, a welcome nerve-calming goal for the Reds.
Sadly for the Saddlers, the visitors were able to grab a goal of their own as Jordan Moore-Taylor headed home from a corner with eighteen minutes of normal time remaining.
