Walsall arrived at the match on the back of another late defeat as Josh Kay's 87th minute goal saw Barrow take all three points on Friday evening - the result seeing the Saddlers stretch their run to just one win in fourteen games.
Following a goalless first forty-five it was the Saddlers who would grab the opening goal of the game as, following Jordan Tunnicliffe's inside-the-area-foul on Josh Gordon, Emmanuel Osadebe stepped up and slotted home from the spot, securing his first Walsall goal.
Sadly, there would be that all-too-familiar heartbreak for the Saddlers, as, following Liam Roberts' foul on Tunnicliffe, Tom Nichols was able to convert from the spot, levelling the scores seven minutes into second-half stoppage time.
