Walsall FC have announced the Deadline Day signing of left-back Max Melbourne, who joins the club on loan from Lincoln City for the remainder of the season.
The 22-year-old has featured 16 times in all competitions for the League One high-flyers so far this season.
He’s played 27 times overall for the Imps having joined on loan in the summer of 2019 before making the move permanent in January 2020.
Melbourne began his career at West Bromwich Albion and has also had two loan spells in Scotland with Ross County and Partick Thistle.
Speaking via the club's official website, manager Darrell Clarke admitted he was pleased to add another defender to his team. He said; "We’re pleased bring Max into the squad.
"We’ve lost Zak so we needed a replacement and Max is coming in with a bit of League One experience.
"He’s a good age, he can play left-back and left centre half. He’s quick, good one v one and athletic. We’re grateful to Lincoln for allowing us to take him on loan."
