Following the news that he'd completed a Deadline Day switch to Sky Bet Championship side Luton Town, Elijah Adebayo has taken to social media to wish the Saddlers and its fans all the best as he moves on.
23-year-old Elijah, who netted ten goals during the first-half of the 2020/21 campaign, has joined the Hatters for an undisclosed fee, bringing his eighteen month stay in WS1 to an end.
Speaking via the now traditional iPhone note, the former Fulham man sought to thank the club's players and staff for helping him develop since he made the switch to the Saddlers in the summer of 2019.
The statement, which was posted via Elijah's official Instagram page states; "After 18 months my time at Walsall Football Club has come to an end.
"I would firstly like to thank everyone involved at Walsall Football Club for giving me the chance to play for such a great club.
"I couldn't has spent the last year and a half with a better bunch of lads, I have made some friends for life and memories that'll stick with me forever.
"Thank you to the gaffer and his backroom staff for making me not just a better player but a better person.
"I would lastly like to say thank you to the fans for being part of this journey and the continued support throughout my time at the club. Best wishes."
