After suffering a duo of defeats at the end of 2020 the Saddlers were looking to start the new year in style as they welcomed promotion-chasing Carlisle United to WS1 for their first outing of 2021.
Sadly for the Saddlers their spell of defeats was further extended as goals from Omari Patrick and Joshua Kayode were enough to secure all three points for the travelling Cumbrians, giving manager Darrell Clarke plenty to think about heading into the next few weeks.
