Speaking ahead of this weekend's League Two clash with Oldham Athletic, Walsall manager Darrell Clarke has revealed that several members of his first-team squad have been side-lined through injury.
When pressed on which players will be missing, Clarke added; "I'd love to tell you that but I'm not going to do some other manager's job for them.
Already without highly-influential attacking midfielder Rory Holden - the former Robin possibly missing the rest of the season - Clarke has confirmed that his team has been dealt further blows over the last few weeks.
Arriving at this weekend's clash on the back of a fortnight without football, the gaffer admitted his is down to a fourteen man squad and will have to call upon some of his team's younger players to fill in.
Refusing to go into too much detail, the manager, who saw his side slip to three defeats in as many games before their break, confirmed that some of the club's scholars will join in with the first-team, although many are far from match-fit as reserve matches have been few and far between.
Speaking via his now usual pre-match Zoom call, the manager said; "We've had a bit more bad luck, quite a few players have picked up a few injuries.
"It's been a good two weeks because we obviously got some good work into the players but it's also disappointing to pick up a couple injuries."
"It's been disappointing in that aspect but it'll give one or two of our younger boys the opportunity to come and impress and stake their claim. One or two that have maybe been unfortunate that they've not had the chance yet this season.
"I'm down to fourteen senior players on Saturday and one of those is a player-coach. Then you have five or six 18 or 19-year-olds amongst that.
"I'll be working with some of the second-year scholars from Monday onwards, bringing four or five of those up, looking at the future of the football club.
"We'll also look for one or two favours in the loan market come the end of the window. I'd like to add one or two players to the squad with the injuries we've picked up."
