Walsall's on-loan Bournemouth striker Jake Scrimshaw took a huge step in his career on Saturday afternoon as he netted his first and second goals as a professional footballer.
Congratulations, Jake!
Scrimshaw, who joined the Saddlers from the Championship Cherries at the start of the season, had made twelve first-team appearances before bagging his first goals in a Saddlers shirt.
Coming off the bench during this weekend's high-scoring victory over Port Vale, Jake netted his first with just seven minutes of the second forty-five in the books before grabbing the winning goal with ten minutes of normal time remaining.
Joined on the score-sheet by fellow brace-bagger Dan Scarr, Jake took to Twitter shortly after full-time and admitted it was a 'dream come true' to finally score as a professional footballer.
What a win!! Dream come true first professional goals 🤩 about time as well😂 https://t.co/KNdGSpQ4NP
