After suffering four all-competition defeats in a row, including last Saturday's loss at the hands of Cheltenham Town, Darrell Clarke's side arrived at Tuesday evening's match in search of three much-needed points.
Despite their recent spell of form it was the Saddlers who grabbed the opening goal of the game as striker Elijah Adebayo netted his fifth goal of the season midway through the first-half.
However, the Reds' lead was short lived as goalkeeper Liam Roberts failed to deal with Scott Twine's effort which went through his hands and over the line to put the home side back on level terms just two minutes later.
