Looking to bounce back from their dismal defeat to Southend United, the Saddlers travelled to Whaddon Road on Saturday afternoon as they faced third-laced Cheltenham Town.
Following a goalless first forty-five it took just five minutes of the second-half before we saw the first goal of the game as, following a Ben Tozer long throw, the ball bounced off Saddlers defender Dan Scarr and into the back of his own net.
The Saddlers were soon even further behind as the home side grabbed their second goal of the game via Matty Blair, his powerful shot flying past Liam Roberts in the Walsall goal.
Things went from bad to worse for the Saddlers as Ben Tozer was able to add a third goal with two minutes of normal time remaining, a dismal afternoon for the men in yellow.
