The Saddlers have confirmed the signing of AFC Bournemouth striker Jake Scrimshaw, who joins the club on loan until January.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a loan spell with Vanarama National League side Eastleigh towards end of last season and also had a successful loan stint at Poole Town in 2018/19, where he scored seventeen goals to help them reach the Southern League South Play-Offs.
The striker was also named Bournemouth’s Under 18s Player of the Year for the 2018/19 campaign after his goals helped the young Cherries reach the FA Youth Cup Quarter-Finals for the first time in their history.
Saddlers boss Darrell Clarke spoke to club journalists and admitted he is looking forward to working with the forward.
Speaking via the club's official website, Darrell said; "We’re really please to bring Jake in. He’s scored plenty of goals in non-league and is relishing the opportunity to show what he can do at league level.
"We’re thankful to Bournemouth for allowing him to come to us on loan without us having to contribute towards his wages during these difficult times."
