Walsall Chairman Leigh Pomlett has provided Saddlers supporters with another update as he and others at the club continue to navigate the various issues caused by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Pomlett has issued regular updates throughout the lengthy crisis as he seeks to keep fans and stakeholders updated with the very latest news and information.
In his latest post, which you can read below, the chairman confirmed that negotiations between clubs, the EFL, Premier League and Football Association are continuing as clubs in the English Football League are seeking help to stay afloat during these unprecedented times.
The statement, issued via the club's official website, states; "We continue to manage the club very carefully as we continue to navigate through this toughest of times.
"Negotiations between the EFL and Premier League also continue and as matters become clearer I will let you know. They are tough negotiations and they are also urgent.
"The iFollow revenue has been very welcome and compared with other clubs we are mid table and I would continue to encourage all supporters to watch the team even if it is on iFollow is important.
"I would like us to push up this table as we also push up the league. The team continues to work very hard and twelve matches without defeat is outstanding. Turning the draws into wins will push us up the table and I expect this to happen.
"You will have seen we have reinforced the squad with two additional strikers to give more options and provide cover for injuries.
"The pressure is being maintained on the government to allow supporters back into stadiums safely. We will be maintaining that pressure.
"Finally, again I thank you for continuing to support the club when it is not easy to do so. Refunds remains very low which is so very important."
