Following the news that he'd returned to the club on a permanent basis, former Southampton stopper Jack Rose has spoken to club journalists and welcomed the opportunity to sign for the club.
Joining Bristol City duo George Nurse and Rory Holden in making the switch, Solihull-born Rose is the Saddlers second permanent signing and third overall as manager Darrell Clarke continue to prepare for the opening weekend of the season.
25-year-old Rose, who spent the whole of the curtailed 2019/20 campaign on loan at the Banks's, admitted that he enjoyed his previous spell with the club and is keen to add to the six appearances he made during his loan spell.
Speaking via the club's official website, Jack said; "I’m really pleased to come back. I spoke to the manager and Maik throughout the lockdown and during the off season and I’m really happy to get it all sorted.
"I was here last season and I really enjoyed my time here and I’m excited to get going. For myself, it is easy coming back here because I know all the lads and it won’t be difficult for me to settle into the team.
"The one point for me will be to try and play as many games as I can. Robbo and I push each other on and it is good to have competition."
