Following the news that Walsall Supporters for Change are seeking to raise funds to help the club through the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, the Trust has released a statement in support of the move.
Released via their official website, the Trust confirm; It has come to our attention that fellow Supporters group Walsall Fans for Change have set up a Just giving page to help raise funds for Walsall Football Club.
The Trust Board would like to offer our support for the venture and would encourage any Saddlers fans who can afford to donate to contribute to help our club.
The club's business plan was based on the return of fans in October. This is not going to happen and the club will be putting together an alternative business plan.
As a Board the Trust have made the decision to continue running our 50-50 draws to help generate funds for the club until such time as fans are allowed back into the Stadium.
We as a club are not alone suffering due to the government restrictions but what we can do is help as much as we possibly can.
On Monday WSfC confirmed that a JustGiving page had been established with the aim of raiding an initial £5,000 to help the club navigate the various issues caused by COvid-19 and supporters wishing to donate, can do so HERE.
