Walsall arrive at this weekend's clash on the back of a four-game unbeaten run and, following a rare weekend without football, will be looking to extend their run as they take on the Grecians at Banks's Stadium.
With Exeter failing to win any of their last three League Two outings the onus is on the Saddlers to make their form pay and take maximum points from their clash with a place in the top-half of the table their potential reward.
35-year-old Sadler, who has made thirty-two appearances since returning to WS1 over the summer, is keen to see the team continue its fine spell of form and finish the season as high up the table as possible.
Speaking via the club's official website, Mat said; "First and foremost, it’s just finishing as high as you can. Every time you step out there or step out onto the training pitch, there’s always something to play for and there’s always someone to impress.
"In terms of league position we’ve seen how the season’s played out, it’s had its up and had its downs so for us now it’s to finish as high as we possibly can and take that momentum into the next season but we just want to play as well as we possibly can and pick up as many points as we can between now and the end of the season.
"We’re just desperate to win the next game and it’s a tough game against a team who have been right up there all season fighting for the top three positions, which is where we want to be, where the football club wants to be and it’s a good test for us."
