Here we take our regular look at how the Saddlers' fringe players are doing as they look to force their way into the club's first-team plans.
Saddlers manager Darrell Clarke has opted to loan out youngsters Tom Leak and Joe Willis along with experienced midfielder Gary Liddle as they get some much-needed first-team football.

Academy products Tom Leak and Joe Willis are both with BetVictor Southern League Premier Division South outfit Salisbury as they get the chance to experience their first spells of first-team football.

Leak was not named in the starting line-up for Saturday's home clash with Hendon but Joe Willis, who made his Whites debut during their recent midweek defeat to Truro City, was among the starters and played a part in a welcome win.

Steve Claridge's Salisbury inflicted Hendon's first league defeat since New Year's Day as goals from Jake Wannell (41') and Toby Holmes (74') saw the home side return to winning ways.

Gary Liddle's loan with Vanarama National League side Hartlepool United continues and the well-travelled midfielder retained his starting spot as the Pools played host to Notts County in their latest league outing of the season.

Hartlepool were able to build upon last weekend's win over - as goals from Joe McDonnell (47' og) and former Saddler Nicky Featherstone (59') saw them take all three points, moving up to 11th in the table a welcome change from recent relegation-threatened campaigns.
