Walsall will be taking on the Valiants with a view to building upon last weekend's comeback win over Northampton Town, a game which saw the Saddlers fall two goals behind before netting three second-half goals to take all three points.
The chairman, whose comments can also be found in today's matchday programme, covers a variety of subjects including the first-team's recent form, the midweek Central League Clash with Rotherham United, and much more...
Speaking via the club's official website, Leigh said; "It has been a busy but good couple of weeks with a hard fought away draw at Newport County sandwiched between superb wins against Forest Green and Northampton Town.
"It was particularly pleasing to see the fight back against Northampton last weekend in what were dreadful conditions. The second half was as much as I have enjoyed a game for a long time and the team deserve much credit.
"During the week I watched the reserves beat Rotherham United in the Central League and again I began to see how promising the crop of young players are here at Walsall FC.
"Some academy players mixed with some young, more established first team players, was really encouraging to watch. They played very well indeed.
"The Early Bird season tickets now go on sale and I hope you really get behind the team. I know home form this season has been mixed but I hope you can also see there is a real team developing here, it will just take some time.
"We have some really good fixtures ahead of us at home starting with Port Vale but with Swindon, Exeter and Plymouth to come, it could be an exciting end to the season.
"As ever, I thank you all for the support and let’s hope the game today is as entertaining as the last one."
