Following a draw with Newport County and non-consecutive victories over Forest Green Rovers and Northampton Town, the Saddlers sit thirteenth in the table ahead of kick-off and could move into the top half by picking up maximum points this weekend.
Saturday’s dramatic victory over the Cobblers, which saw the Saddlers comeback from being two-nil down at half-time to take all three points, was Walsall’s fifth home league win of the season as Josh Gordon, Danny Guthrie and Rory Holden netted second-half goals.

Darrell, who will be taking charge of his forty-fourth Saddlers game at the weekend, said; "My message to the players is to make sure they don’t come off it and build on the positive week that we’ve had.
"I’m quite pleased of where we’ve been in the last seventeen league games but I also want a lot more, a lot more from my players and better consistent results over a long period and that’s the question mark hanging over this group of players with twelve games to go because it changes mindsets of managers and coaching staff because if the last twelve games were to go well, players up for contracts want to finish on a high and we want to start that again this Saturday against Port Vale."
