27-year-old Lavery has scored ten goals from thirty Saddlers appearances since arriving at the club last summer, and, although he is happy to get to double figures, the former Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United striker admitted he would have liked to have scored more goals by now.
The Saddlers' goal-scoring exploits haven't been limited to Coalan as striker partner Josh Gordon is close to breaking the ten-goal margin and could join his teammate on double figures as the Saddlers make their first trip to the New Lawn this weekend.
Speaking via the club's official website, Caolan said; "So far so good but as any striker will say, I should probably have a few more. I’m happy to get to the double figure mark and we’ll see what happens in the next few games."
The Saddlers take on Forest Green Rovers with a run of three consecutive defeats behind them, but Lavery insists spirits remain high and believes the team are fully motivated to get back to winning ways this weekend.
Coalan continued; "The last few games haven’t killed that mood or that positivity but it’s disappointing because we all want to start winning football games again.
"You don’t want to go two on the bounce, you don’t want to go three on the bounce and we don’t want to go four on the bounce so it’s motivation and we want to set that right this weekend.
"Every game in this division can be tough, it depends who wins the fight on the day so I don’t think it really matters about scrapping for points or teams at the top of the division, every team is going to give you a tough test."
