Nathan Sheron: "I'm Made Up to Be Here"

Following the news of his loan move to Walsall, Fleetwood Town midfielder Nathan Sheron has spoken to club journalists and welcomed the opportunity to link-up with the Saddlers.
The 22-year-old, who was the first Academy graduate to break into the Trawlermen's first-team, was almost ever-present for Fleetwood last season, making over thirty first-team appearances in all competitions, and has featured in the Leasing.com Trophy for them this season.

Sheron can play in defence as well as midfield and becomes the Saddlers' second signing on the January Transfer Window. He made his Football league debut in August 2018 and has also enjoyed loan spells with Chorley, Chester, and Southport.

Speaking via the club's official website, Nathan said; "I’m made up to be here. I’m really looking forward to the upcoming games and I’m ready to get going. During my loan spell I just want to get Walsall up the table.

"I want to be playing games whilst I’m here and I'm looking forward to getting into the games and hopefully getting us into a play-off position. I just want to make an impact whilst I’m with the club.

"I want to help the boys out as much as possible and better the team as well as myself if possible. Hopefully if I am given the chance, I can make an impact this weekend in our game against Carlisle."

When asked about his style of play, Sheron highlighted some key characteristics that Saddlers manager Darrell Clarke is looking for. He continued; "I’m a defensive midfielder by nature. I like to get stuck in, I like to win the ball and then get us moving. I like to play and get on it a lot and move the ball about. I’m here to help the team out."
