Clarke Keen to Add an Experienced Player to His Squad

With the January Transfer Window set to close in just over a week's time, Walsall manager Darrell Clarke has spoken to the local press and confirmed that he is still looking to add experience to his squad before the window slams shut.
Clarke has already added Reading winger Jack Nolan on a permanent deal alongside Fleetwood Town midfielder Nathan Sheron on a season-long loan but feels the team would benefit from an experienced new arrival.

The gaffer, who oversaw an almost complete squad overhaul in the summer, admitted that experienced players aren't easy to acquire but he will keep on searching for a new signing right up until the last minute of the window.

Speaking via the Express & Star, Darrell said; "I want another wide player, I'm looking for one with a bit more experience. That's on the radar and I think that will help us as well.

"I certainly haven't brought Jack in to go and start every game from now until the end of the season. Let's get him finding his feet. I still think we need that experienced player.

"Not an over the hill wide player, but someone who has played over one-hundred games would be ideal. They're difficult to get hold of in this market but we'll be searching for that one until the last minute."
