As part of their sponsorship, Poundland will have exclusive naming rights for the Main Stand which incorporates the Main Reception Entrance, The Club Shop, Ticket Office, Dressing Rooms and corporate areas.
The Stand will now be known as the Poundland Stand and will proudly display the ubiquitous and well known Poundland branding both internally and externally.
On the new sponsorship deal, Walsall Football Club CEO Stefan Gamble said; "We are delighted to welcome Poundland on board as our Main Stand Sponsor for remainder of the 2019-2020 Season.
"They are a nationally recognised and successful brand, but like us, they are an organisation based at the heart of the local community. As such, we share very similar and important values and it means a great deal to be able to work so closely together with them as part of this Sponsorship Agreement.
"We are very grateful of their support and I hope that this is just the start of a very exciting partnership that can grow from strength to strength in the future."
Poundland and Dealz managing director Barry Williams said; "Walsall FC is a club with a great heritage and a fantastic following and we are very excited to be working closely together with the Saddlers.
"We want to play our part in helping them achieve success on and off the pitch. We’re extremely proud to have main stand known as the Poundland Stand. We hope this is the start of a long-lasting relationship with the club and its supporters."
Poundland’s sponsorship deal with Walsall FC follows the announcement of its plans to move its customer support centre to Walsall in the autumn of 2020. As part of the move, around 300 Poundland colleagues will be based in Pattison House, Midland Road, a former HMRC office that is due to be refurbished.
Williams added; "Our sponsorship of Walsall FC shows our commitment to the borough. We have had a store in Walsall since 1999 and are delighted to be contributing to the regeneration of the town centre with our new customer support centre."
In addition to the Stand Sponsorship, Poundland have committed to advertise on the Club’s Midpoint LED M6 Digital Advertising Screens, Europe’s largest freestanding digital site, throughout the term of the Agreement.
The Sponsorship will officially be launched at our Leasing.Com Trophy Match against Portsmouth on 7th January 2020 where Poundland will also be Match Sponsors.
