Academy Sponsorship Deal Renewed
The club has confirmed that the University of Wolverhampton will continue as sponsors of the club's academy Academy.
The University is a long-term supporter of the Saddlers and the partnership will enable the football club to benefit from the University’s sports facilities at its Walsall Campus which has recently undergone an initial £1 million revamp.
This includes new hi-tech equipment such as cutting-edge 3D motion capture technology, which was tested out by England Test cricket captain Joe Root during a recent visit to the University, and an environmental chamber to replicate nearly any climate on the planet.
Sports students will also benefit from the partnership as they are able to work with players and coaching staff at the Club, as well as gaining expert insights through guest lectures.
The University’s branding also appears at the Banks’s Stadium who are currently sponsors of the Away Stand.
Stefan Gamble, Walsall FC Chief Executive Officer, said; "We have enjoyed a long and successful partnership with the University of Wolverhampton for many years. This now goes from strength to strength with the expansion of our relationship which is invaluable and mutually beneficial to both organisations. The University play a vital role in the success of the Club’s Academy."
