Liam Kinsella Makes 100th Walsall Appearance

Congratulations to Walsall midfielder Liam Kinsella, who made his 100th club appearance during this weekend's Sky Bet League Two triumph over Scunthorpe United.
After having to make do with a place on the bench following Darrell Clarke's decision to start with winger Wes McDonald among the starting XI, Liam took the the field after sixty-six minutes of play, replacing Danny Guthrie in midfield, and became one of few in the modern era to make it into triple figures for the club.

Colchester-born Kinsella, a product of the club's academy system, made his way through the ranks after joining the club as an eight year-old and, after agreeing pro-terms in March of 2014, would go on to be named on the subs bench for the first time as Walsall faced Port Vale on 9th August 2014.

Kins' wouldn't have to wait too long to get a taste of first-team action, however, as he would go on to make his senior debut later in the month as the Saddlers drew 0-0 with Bradford City at Banks's Stadium.

The now 23-year-old would go on to score his first senior goal during a crucial 2-0 triumph over Burton Albion in October 2015. A result which saw the Saddlers leapfrog the Brewers to the top of the League One table.

Liam, a former Republic of Ireland Under-19 and Under-21 international, has come on leaps and bounds over recent seasons and has begun to establish himself among the consistent performers in the team. We look forward to seeing his next one-hundred appearances!
