The Reds, who will take on Forest Green in a match which will their first ever competitive meeting, will be hoping to build upon last weekend's opening-day victory over Northampton Town - captain James Clarke's first-half header proving to be enough to secure all three points.
Clarke enjoyed good relations with supporters at clubs he previously managed - Salisbury City and Bristol Rovers - and is keen to build a rapport with the Saddlers faithful.
Clarke however, admitted that there remains plenty of work to do as his rebuilt team is still something of a work in progress.
Speaking via the club's official website, Darrell said; "We want to see as many supporters as we can and get them onside, we’ve got a lot of work to do to do that.
"They’ll be disappointed from last season but I think they appreciate the changes that have been made so far. They know it’s a work in progress and we’ve still got a lot of players who haven’t made their debuts yet and players still joining us.
"We’ve had to be patient and we’ve had to wait because we know that one or two players wanted to leave the club and we wanted to get good fees for those players that are leaving the club.
"It will be an ongoing process, there’s no quick fixes here, we know what needs to be done and we’re putting those small building blocks in place."
