Spending time with the Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Birmingham City's youth systems, Wes turned pro with the Blues in 2015, going on to enjoy loan spells with Nuneaton Town and Solihull Moors.
Wes failed to make a single first-team appearance for Birmingham and would eventually leave the St. Andrew's-based side in the summer of 2018, initially joining Queens Park Rangers on trial before signing a short-term deal with Yeovil.
He made a total of twelve first-team appearances for Yeovil before leaving the club when his short-term deal came to an end.
Speaking via the club's official website, Walsall manager Darrell Clarke welcomed Wes to the club, he said; "Wes comes in with something to prove. He did well at Yeovil last year before injury ruled him out, but he’s fully fit now and has got all the attributes a wide player should have. I’m looking forward to working with him."
