Gordon formed part of the Walsall team which was relegated to League Two last season - the former Leicester City prospect netting nine times in forty-five outings - and the 24-year-old looks set to lead the line alongside former Fulham man Adebayo next season, with Gordon insisting the duo clicked as soon as they started playing together.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Josh said; "When we first got together, we clicked straight away. As a partnership, we know what each other is doing. We take risks in the right areas.
"Elijah has got a couple of goals already. We've got a couple of friendlies left and hopefully, I'll get one soon as well. But in pre-season it’s all about gelling, I’ll get the goals when it’s important.
"The important thing is that we are trying different things and learning about each other. The more we play together the more chemistry we will have."
