Saddlers manager Darrell Clarke opted to name a total of four prospective new signings as his side faced Leamington in their second pre-season outing ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
Experienced midfielder Danny Guthrie, who is a free agent following a spell in Indonesia, was the first to be identified as the 32-year-old slotted in alongside Liam Kinsella and Stuart Sinclair in the Saddlers' first-half eleven.
The second to be named was former Birmingham City and Macclesfield Town winger Koby Arthur. 23-year-old formed part of the Saddlers' second-half line up and looked good before picking up an injury and being replaced by Joe Foulkes after seventy-minutes.
Along with the Blues and Silkmen, Arthur has bagged first-team football - via loan spells - with Lincoln City and Cheltenham Town, taking his career appearances to seventy-one so far.
The third trialist identified was former Leicester City winger Kairo Edwards-John. 19-year-old Edwards-John, a former England under-16 international, was arguably the pick of the trialists as he bagged the Saddlers' equaliser fourteen minutes from time.
With midfielder George Dobson and striker Morgan Ferrier asking to leave the club and the general lack of width, there is plenty of scope for adding players to the squad as Darrell Clarke continues to shape his side ahead of the opening game of the season in August.
