The Saddlers, who will hopefully be sporting several new first-team players by then, face a tricky trip to the East Midlands to take on a side which has already had a busy transfer window with eleven players departing for pastures new and nine new faces set to arrive on July 1st.
The head-to-head statistics are somewhat better than expected as the Saddlers have lost just three of the last fourteen meetings, in all competitions, and won the most recent clash, which took place in Walsall in April 2018 and saw George Dobson light up the Banks's with a last-minute winner.
Let's hope the Saddlers can start their season on the front foot as there is a busy season ahead.
