Clarke, who replaces former manager Dean Keates in the Banks's Stadium dugout following a dismal 2018/19 campaign which ultimately saw the Saddlers relegated on the final day of the season, is said to be keen to construct his support system as soon as possible as he looks ahead to the upcoming League Two campaign.
Joining the club are Marcus Stewart, Darrell's assistant at the Memorial Ground, and development coach Brian Dutton - both of whom have penned extended deals to join their former colleague in the West Midlands - with more expected to be confirmed over the coming days and weeks.
46-year-old Stewart, a well-travelled former striker with over 650 professional appearances and almost two-hundred goals to his name, joins the club as a replacement for the departing Andy Davies.
Whilst Dutton, who had been part of Rovers' backroom team since March 2017, will form part of the club's development system, as the club looks to rebuild it's reserve side following a season out of league competition.
