This weekend's clash with the Posh, which sees the relegation-threatened Reds take on Play-Off chasing Peterborough, is the Saddlers' final home game of the season, and O’Connor wants to see an improved performance from eleven players who are proud to wear the Walsall shirt.
Walsall arrive at this weekend's clash on the back of Easter Monday's defeat to Wycombe Wanderers, which saw the Saddlers stretch their recent poor spell to seven defeats in eight league outings, and need to secure a win - with other results also going their way - if they are to take their battle to bet the drop into the season-ending clash with Shrewsbury Town.
Speaking via the club's official website, Martin said; "We will assess everyone this morning ahead of the game against Peterborough. Psychologically, it has been a tough Easter weekend.
"We haven’t really performed and it is one of those now where we have to rally the troops and see who is up for the next two games. I said to the boys after Wycombe on Monday, I am one of those people where my glass is half full so we have to prepare ourselves for Peterborough and it has been the same all week.
"Every game is tough when you are where we are. It doesn’t matter how much you try and take the pressure off the players, they still feel it. I am all for positivity and I am all for people getting things off their chest as I am as a person, so we will address what has happened since I have been here over the last three games and try and put things right.
"We will rally and I will rally today and for the rest of the week and try and get a performance for 11 Walsall Football Club players who are proud to wear the shirt."
