Hard-fought victories over Bradford City and Fleetwood Town, either side of a goalless draw against Burton Albion, have given the squad a much-needed confidence boost.
The 24-year-old, who made a goal-scoring return to the starting line-up on Saturday, says the squad is excited for the challenge of Kenny Jackett's Portsmouth this evening.
Speaking via the club's official website, Morgan said; "Momentum is the main thing in football. At the start of the season, we had it in abundance. There were some games where we didn’t play the best but we had that spirit and belief in the camp that no matter who we were playing we would get victories.
"That is what we are getting back to now. We have got Portsmouth next and, instead of being scared of the opportunity, the lads are excited for it. We know when we work hard and apply ourselves we are a test for anyone in the division.
"Sometimes I feel our style of play allows us to perform better against teams that are higher up because they don’t show us as much respect.
"Teams in and around us might sit in because they know we have got pace but bigger teams are more adventurous and that leaves spaces and gaps that we can exploit with the players we have got.
"Sometimes against the so-called better teams, it’s easier for us to implement our game."
