The Saddlers slipped to their fourth league defeat in a row on Tuesday as Steve Seddon's goal gave the desperate Dons' survival hopes a much-needed boost, leaving the Saddlers just two points above the relegation zone, with many sides holding a game in hand over the Banks's Stadium side.
The 24-year-old, Walsall-born Roberts, who has made thirty-seven appearances so far this season, wants the team to stick together and rediscover the grit they showed at the start of the season, when they won four of the opening five matches and sat among the teams battling for promotion.
Liam, who was speaking via the club's official website, said; "It’s difficult to take. There have been games where we have lost but we have been in control, and we have had spells in games where we should have gone on to win. Football is all about luck sometimes.
"Sometimes you’re lucky, sometimes you’re unlucky and at the moment we aren’t getting lucky. It is about staying together now. It’s not about individuals, it’s about everyone sticking together and getting a positive result. It doesn’t matter how we win, it’s just about winning.
"I believe in myself and I still believe in the players in front of me and that is how we are going to get through this. I know all the players still believe and I am sure things will change for us. It is all about staying positive and having a clean mindset and getting ready for Saturday."
