The London-born forward, who has penned an initial two-year deal, is the Saddlers' third signing of the day following the earlier arrival of West Brom defenders Jack Fitzwater and Kane Wilson, and will offer some much-needed fire power to the club's attacking line.
Ferrier began his career with the Arsenal youth set-up in 2011 before moving to Watford U18’s in 2012. After spells with Nottingham Forest, Kettering Town, Crystal Palace and Hemel Hempstead he moved to Boreham Wood in the summer of 2016, where he would go on to become the club’s top scorer, netting eleven times in twenty-two appearances.
In June 2017, Morgan joined Dagenham and Redbridge on a free transfer, and after scoring eight goals in thirty appearances, he returned to Boreham Wood on the 8th of February 2018, penning a two-year contract for a club record fee.
It is believed that his contract included a suprisingly-low £35,000 release clause, which several teams were also believed to have considered activating over the course of the summer, with Andy Cook's former side Tranmere Rovers the most recent to have tried to agree terms on a deal.
