Keates Keen to Add Another Striker to His Squad

With the summer Transfer Window closing on Thursday evening, Walsall manager Dean Keates has spoken to the local press and revealed that he is hoping to add another striker to his squad, with the money which has been freed up by Amadou Bakayoko's move to Coventry City likely to play a major role in the managers recruitment drive.
With Bakayoko now a Sky Blues player, Keates revealed that he is on the hunt for a striker, especially as youngsters Mitch Candlin and Dylan Parker are the only back up to first-teamers Morgan Ferrier and Andy Cook.

Keates, who was speaking to the Express & Star's Saddlers correspondent Joseph Masi, revealed that he hopes to add to his attacking options, he said; "We're definitely looking for a striker. We have got two lads in there with Mitch and Dylan. But they are still very young and are still learning their trade.

"They have only just stepped up from the youth team. It’s a lot to ask of them to be able to play week in, week out or to be pushing for a start. They need a lot of work and a lot of developing. But they will have opportunities."
