Dean Keates: Momentum is Key Heading into Cup Clash

Walsall manager Dean Keates has spoken to the local press ahead of this evening's Carabao Cup - First Round clash with Tranmere Rovers, and admitted that he is reluctant to make too many changes as he doesn't want to slow the momentum build over the last week or so by ringing the changes.
Keates, who has seen his side take four points from a possible six so far this season, insisted that he will send his team out with the same attitude as they have in their league outings, with a desire to dominate proceedings by playing on the front foot.

Speaking via the Express & Star, Dean said; "Momentum is key for us. I won’t be underestimating Tranmere. Micky Mellon will have them bang up for it. We will assess the players. Maybe one or two need minutes. Maybe one or two need a rest. But we want to go there and win a place in the next round. For us it’s about being brave, playing on the front foot and trying to dominate a game of football."
