19-year-old, Solihull-born Vann, who forms part of John Ward's development side, is a product of the club's youth system and rose through the ranks to turn professional in November 2016.
Vann spent a spell of last season on-loan with local non-league side Stafford Rangers, where he entered several solid performances before returning to Banks's Stadium.
Dan, who could see his stay further extended, spoke to club journalists and welcomed the chance to secure some more first-team football, he said; "I’m happy to go out on loan to play some games. I haven’t played many games because I got injured during pre-season. It’s important I’m playing games and it’s good to play against men.
"I really enjoyed it at Stafford last season and made some good friends there. It’s a lot more physical and playing against men is a lot harder. I felt I did well and hopefully I can play as many games as I can at Matlock to gain match fitness."
