Keates, who watched as his side slipped to a narrow 2-1 defeat as goals from Justin Richards and Nicky Devlin (OG) proved enough to cancel out a trialist's second-half strike, admitted that the result was not one he wanted but was pleased to have the chance to give so many of his players some match minutes.
Speaking via the club's official website - Saddlers.co.uk - Dean said; "We were disappointed with the final score, but we got out of it what we thought we would. You get a tough physical battle here and that’s always going to be the case.
"We got minutes into the lads so I’m happy with that and everyone has come through it fine. It was a case of trying to balance it, with those who got the least minutes the ones who covered the most distance during the week."
