The manager is expected to take another look at several trialists over the next week with former Burton Albion defender Tomáš Egert, ex-Millwall centre-back Christian Mbulu, New Zealand international defender Adam Mitchell, and former Liverpool and Middlesbrough defender Tom Brewitt all expected to return to the club's Essington Training Ground.
Dean, who was speaking to Express & Star reporter Joseph Masi said; "I’m confident we’ll have the right bodies in soon enough. We know the structure we want and which way we want to go.
"We know what type of players we want in each position and we will look at adding more. With the trialists we have now got a week’s worth of training so I think we’ll look at an in-house game and invite them back for that. We’ll see how it goes over the next few days."
Keates then went on to discuss potentially signing players from Stoke City, with Potters boss Gary Rowett offering to help following the season-ending injury which Kory Roberts suffered during the pre-season clash between the two sides earlier this month, he admitted that he has had contact with the recently-relegated side and expects to hold further discussions before the start of the season.
Dean continued; "Stoke were unbelievable after the game. I first had contact with Gary afterwards just to thank him and their medical staff for the attention and help they gave Kory. There have been one or two messages we have swapped since regards help going forward. But they have been out in Germany so it’s something we’ll chase up."
