Several Clubs Enter Race to Sign National League Top-Scorer Andy Cook

Walsall's League One rivals Bradford City are believed to be among a host of clubs which have entered the race to sign Tranmere Rovers striker Andy Cook, as the National League top-scorer continues to attract interest with his contract soon to expire.
Tranmere Rovers fansite 'Rovers Rearguard' are reporting that 27-year-old Cook, who bagged twenty-eight goals in forty-five first-team appearances for the Super Whites last season, is on the radar of the Bantams along with Carlisle United and newly-promoted National League outfit, Salford City.

Cook, who has also turned out for Carlisle United, Barrow and Grimsby Town during his near ten-year professional career, is said to be on the transfer radar of several clubs following Tranmere's promotion to League Two, a feat which they achieved following their Vanarama National League Play-Off Final victory over Boreham Wood.

With many new names believed to have entered the race for his signature it could be a nervous few days for the club's management as they wait to see if they have got their man, especially with Tranmere also believed to be within a bumper pay rise of keeping Cook at Prenton Park.
