Keates Welcomes Andy Cook to the Club

Following the news that National League top-scorer Andy Cook will be joining the Saddlers when his Tranmere Rovers contract expires at the end of June, Walsall manager Dean Keates-old has spoken to club journalists and welcomed the opportunity to sign a striker he's admired for a long time.
Bishop Auckland-born Cook was not short of options following a campaign which saw him score twenty-eight goals in all competitions including one during Rovers' Vanarama National League Play-Off Final victory over Boreham Wood.

Speaking via the club's official website - Saddlers.co.uk, Dean said; "He’s somebody I’ve admired for a long time. As soon as I got the job here and knew he was out of contract; I made him my primary target.

"I’m delighted to have gotten this over the line as there were plenty of clubs in for him – his record speaks for itself – and I’m looking forward to working with him. I have no qualms about him stepping up to League One."
