Walsall FC have confirmed that young Saddlers striker Mitchel Candlin has been named among the standby squad for England Under-18s upcoming trio of international matches.
Neil Dewsnip's 20-strong squad will be taking on Qatar, Argentina and Belarus, with the selection containing 14 players who were part of last year's U17 World Cup-winning squad.
Candlin, who has made around eight first-team appearances, is yet to make the breakthrough to regular football but remains highly rated among the coaching staff following a string of performances for the club's under-18s side.
