Walsall manager Jon Whitney has spoken ahead of this weekend's clash with League One leaders Blackburn Rovers, and called upon his team to 'score from the back' as they look to move further away from the relegation zone.
Jon, who was speaking via the Express & Star, said; "We need goals to come from everywhere. If we say we have got to defend from the front, then you have also got to score from the back.
"Set-pieces we need to make more of. I know Jon Guthrie got one at Blackpool, but we need to be more of a threat from corners and free-kicks. Every opportunity we get we have to make the most of. We get some good balls into the box and we want midfielders arriving in the box.
"We do a lot of training ground routines where we get four into the box. If we do it right, we should have our nine and 10 in the box, the opposite wide player and a midfielder in the box. That tells me there is a chance for us all to score goals. And as long as we score, I don’t mind who gets them."
