LOAN WATCH: Simeon Starts as Grimsby Take on Crawley Town

Saddlers striker Simeon Jackson is currently on loan to League Two side Grimsby Town.
Walsall striker Simeon Jackson is currently on loan to Sky Bet League Two outfit Grimsby Town after joining the Blundell Park side on Deadline Day. Here is the latest on how the attacker got on in his latest outing.

30-year-old Jackson, who is out-of-contract in the summer, started his Grimsby spell off with a bang as he bagged a goal during his first appearance last weekend as the Mariners drew with Cheltenham Town.

The former Blackburn Rovers striker was looking to build upon his debut strike as he was named in the starting XI as they faced Crawley Town at the Checkatrade.com Stadium

Sadly for Simeon he couldn't repeat his debut performance as his current hosts slipped to a disappointing three-nil defeat away from home as a controversial penalty from Crawley captain Jimmy Smith gave his side a half-time lead, before the West Sussex side went on to wrap things up after the break with goals from Enzio Boldewijn and Karl Ahearne-Grant.

Simeon probably should've added to his Mariners tally but was ultimately unable to beat Crawley stopper Glenn Morris as his sheet remained clean.
