Walsall manager Jon Whitney has confirmed that on-loan Arsenal defender Krystian Bielik will miss Saturday afternoon's crucial League One clash with fellow strugglers Milton Keynes Dons as the 20-year-old Polish prospect has a 'slight niggle' and will not be risked.
Bielik joined the Saddlers from the Gunners on Deadline Day and his arrival was seen as something as a coup for the club as the former Legia Warsaw defender is something of a future prospect, with several higher ranked sides expected to secure his services as he looks to return to fitness following recent shoulder surgery.
Saddlers manager Whitney, who was speaking to the Express & Star ahead of this weekend's six-pointer with the ever-unpopular 'Dons', said; "We have to take time – you look at how many games they’ve played. I know that Krystian has got a slight niggle, we knew that. Whether he is right for the weekend, I’m unsure. But I’m not going to risk him as we need him for the remainder of the season.
"I’ll speak to them all individually and we’ll see. Some may start, some may not. Some may be on the bench, some may not be. It’s going to be an interesting one but I’m sure the team we put out will be a strong team."
