Walsall's on-loan Stoke City forward Julien Ngoy has spoken to the local press and insisted that the Saddlers, who currently sit just five points above the relegation zone, should be fighting for promotion, not worrying about relegation.
Julien, who was speaking via the Express & Star, said; "This team should be closer to the top than relegation. We need to keep working and doing our best. And if we do that we will not be in danger of relegation any more. We have got some very good players and I don’t see why we can’t move up the table.
"We need to work hard and take our chances. And I’m going to do everything I can to score goals and help other players score goals as well."
Julien then went on to discuss how a Deadline Day switch to the Saddlers was the perfect move to aid his development, he continued; "I need to run more and work harder. That’s why I have come here, to work hard and improve. The manager has made it clear you have to work hard to get into the team. He is a positive manager. Even if there are some bad things, he will always try to find a positive thing to tell us. He motivates us a lot."
